Lack of Choices

     Since Harrah’s acquired Harveys, and subsequently passed Caesars along to those who already own the Horizon, dealers effectively have half of the choices that we once had for our employer. In the virtual monopoly from which Harrah’s benefits at Lake Tahoe, its citizens have fewer choices in their employment, hence less competition for their services. Unionization is one of the only ways to level the playing field between corporate greed and the average citizen trying to keep themselves and their families healthy, secure, and within this community.

     We have no real choice in employment here, so the only action that we can take is to improve our current work situation.
