Misplaced Priorities |

Something needs to be corrected when we see our employer spending millions on remodeling of luxury suites while making cuts in our bottom line. What sort of message is being sent to us when building improvements expand while our wages do not? We still have chips that test positive for lead on our games, and nothing has been done. Harrah's will be involved with a $500 million stadium project behind two of its properties on The Strip in Las Vegas. The article mentions that the value, per acre, in that area is between $15 million and $18 million. There is an enormous gap between those amounts, our hazardous work environment, and our lost (update: regained, but not improved) raises of a dime or two.
