Wage Freeze

     With the recent state-mandated increase in minimum wage, combined with the possibility of federal increases in minimum wage, our employer put a freeze on all raises. That’s right, our employer will no longer give us our annual 20-cent raise because of how much we’ve been told that the company ‘lost’ because of the increasing legal minimum. The hard work that we have done over the years to earn our raises will be absorbed by mandated increases, and our employer no longer acknowledges our accomplishments where it counts to everybody. With a Contract, they would have to negotiate with us before attempting to make any more cuts that affect us.

     We work for one of the giants of America's gaming industry, yet apparently there is a goal to keep our wages at the very minimum of what the government requires. As a result, we rely on the generosity of our players for the bulk of our income.  We should not have to be dependent on our lawmakers for our employer's wage increases.

UPDATE:  Shortly after the launch of this site, we got our wage increases back.

We did not even have to negotiate.
