"The Real Deal" |
|
During the Harrah’s/Harveys integration, management constructed a bulletin board in the cafeteria inappropriately titled “The Real Deal.” It was there to put everyone’s mind at ease that their jobs were secure, and that the merger would have little effect on the workforce and community. Following hundreds of terminations on both sides of the street, there was little validity in calling it “The Real Deal.” Will we be subjected to a similar array of rhetorical propaganda this time around, too? Consequences of the sale of Harrah's can be reduced or eliminated. |
