The misinformation became too overwhelming for one page to handle. These two buttons were added to the front page to dispel the bad information that Harrah's wants you to believe. Harrah's and its bonus earners continue to distort the truth. Here are some of Harrah's statements regarding the Wynn toke issue. Within one month of when the Wynn policy was instituted, a Harrah's spokesperson said: "We don't have any plans to change our system, but we will look at what happens there." Side comment: "Our System?" Tokes belong to Dealers, not Harrah's. We should be the ones determining the system, because they're our tokes. Now where were we... Here is what was said to dealers of Caesars Palace on October 19, 2007, "We will not do what Steve Wynn did with the Dealers tips" (previous link broken) Okay. That one sounds better, but wait. What follows is an excerpt from the Las Vegas Review Journal less than one month later. [Jan] Jones [vice president of government relations] said Harrah's Entertainment does not now support the practice of sharing tokes, although she added that the dealers' actions could someday change that policy. "However, if all of a sudden we're in negotiations with an intermediary, you can't guarantee that would be the policy because you have to be competitive in negotiations," Jones said about tip sharing. These are all comments made by Harrah's about one single topic. They'll look at what happens, then they will not do what Steve Wynn did, then they admit to still holding the card and will try to play it in negotiations. Which one is it? They can't state the policy and stick with it, which is exactly why we need a Contract. |
